Cinnamon Crumb Coffee Cake

This is one of the best tasting cakes I have ever baked! I love to eat it on a cool morning, with a cup of coffee and a Jane Austin book! I also love it when family and friends come over and we eat a piece and talk and laugh! My mom loves it for her birthday cake. so Here is the recipe Enjoy!!

Preheat oven 350* and grease a 13x9” pan

Cinnamon Crumb Topping:

In medium mixing bowl mix -

2 cups flour
½ cup sugar
1 ½ teaspoon cinnamon

With Fingers work in -
1 cup (2 sticks) Butter (soften)


Cake Batter:

In Large mixing bowl combine -

½ cup (1 stick) butter (soften) and 1 ¼ cup sugar well blended

then add -

3 large eggs
2 teaspoons of Vanilla

then Sift in -

2 ¼ cups Flour
2 ¼ teaspoons Baking Powder
½ teaspoon Salt

and add ¾ cups Milk

Spoon batter into pan and with Hands form
Cinnamon Crumb Topping into marble-size chunks;
place evenly over batter.

Bake until toothpick comes out clean, about 35 to 40 minutes.
