Well, it's finally happening. I may get to be a daycare/preschool teacher!!!
I'm so very excited. I can't wait to start this new chapter in my career life. I'll be working 4, 10 hour days, from 6 am to about 6 pm. The position that is open that I could possibly fill is working with the 1 year olds. I honestly couldn't describe how happy and excited I am for this opportunity. I'm just so happy. I also may be teaching a new friend how to crochet a blanket for her fiance, and we went to go get some yarn and a crochet hook for her today.
I never knew what was to come of my life when I decided to stay in Arkansas. I just figured I would continue to waitress and work at the bakery until I got married again and had kids. But now.... My Dream Of Becoming A Teacher Is Coming True!!! I am just so, so, so happy. Wish me luck on my working interview on Monday and keep me in your prayers.
~Blessings~

A Lot Has Been Going On....
It's true, there has been a lot going on.
Almost every weekend I'm out and a bout. Either with my darling, or friends. Or, moving into my new apartment!
Yes, that's right. I'm now on my own. I'm living in a nice little town near a Christian College, the same place where my darling works and lives. I'm about three block away from him and right next to the fire department.
The place is nice. I really like it. I also like being able to walk everywhere. Right now I'm sitting in a nice little cafe' drinking some coffee and listening to some older folks talk.
I'm still kind of moving in, but that's ok I'm only 45 minutes from home, so going to get something I left behind is easy!
The reason I wanted to move, was for a change. And more room to grow. To grow personally and spiritually. My roommate isn't home all day so I get some quite time. In that time I get to listen to myself, and to God. I also wanted to be closer to more job opportunities. And it's making it easier to plan the wedding as well.
This move is also helping to ready myself for living for myself. To take care of a home, and bills, and everything I need to know to care for my home with my darling.
I've been here for four days and three nights now. I'm still getting used to living in a town. But it gets pretty quite around 10:00pm. So that's nice. The only thing is there is a lamp post right outside my window. So I need some curtains. :)
I'm very happy here. I do miss home. Like in the mornings, I miss hearing my momma and sister talking. But like I said I'm not far from home so if I ever miss them too awe-full much, I can just drive up there. :)

It's getting cold...
Well my friends, It's fall. Though the "first day of fall" has not yet been upon us, it's getting cold, the leaves are changing color, and the harvest is done. So to me it is fall.
I love fall. I love the colors of the leaves. The smell of the leaves on the ground and I also love,
HALLOWEEN!!!!
Trick-or-Treat was one of my favorite nights of the year because you go to dress up and play make believe with thousands of other kids and people, then you got FREE CANDY! what little kid does not like free candy!?! I did.
Yes I know that Halloween comes to us from the pagans, druids, and Celts. But I never looked at it that way. I looked at it from the prospective of a child. I loved playing dress up (still do) and I loved walking around looking at all the different costumes and guessing who there were and were supposed to be, and getting free candy.
It's like I told my darling one day as we were out on a date, I told him it's not like my sisters and I said a prayer of thanks to the devil for our sweets!! No we wanted to play pretend. That's all.
I'm not a big fan of those out there who look down on my family for going out trick-or-treating. I think that's wrong. I don't look down on them for having a Christmas tree, (psst... which was brought to us by the pagans!)
They let their kids play dress up. How is that any different from dressing in a costume? Yes I do understand that some of the costumes and a tad bit questionable, like the mini skirts for the little girls and the gruesome masks for the boys. Those I tend to stay away from. Yes I was a witch for almost every Halloween of my youth, but I was a good witch. I did't try to scare the kids. If they jumped and ran when I jumped out of the bushes AFTER they got their candy, well then they were just jumpy! ;)
All I'm trying to say here is that I, me, myself, Love Halloween. This year I would like to maybe have a bon-fire and make it a costume party as well. I'm planning on being a Gypsy or maybe Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas and my darling can be Jack The Pumpkin King! or what ever. :)
I'm very open minded. I did a religion study, and learned about all the different religions of the world including some of Wicca, and Cults. Just so I can understand the world around me. Understand how to tell these people about why I love Jesus and God. That's all. I just like knowing and understanding, why.
Well, I have some news!
Last week I bought my Wedding Dress!
About three days after that it came in the Mail!!!
I would love to post some pictures but I dont' know if my darling reads my blog or not. And I don't want him to see it just yet.
But it's perfect. White Strapless, tea length. With a Lilac ribbon on it. It's a 1950's vintage dress.
I'm very happy with it.
It does need to be taken in a bit but I know of some people/places that can do that. :)
Now I just need some shoes for the ceremony and I'll be all set!
For my jewelry I plan on wearing the purl necklace my darling got me when he was in China.
And some purl and diamond earrings.
Oh, I'm so excited for the wedding! Only Nine Months from today.
There is still some planning to do.
Guest list, Booking the Camp Ground, Food (what would we like to serve and where to get it.), D.J. Decorations!
It's going to be fun.
With many warm, thoughtful Prayers,
Caitydid.

Warm Weather and Getting Caught in a Hail Storm....
Yesterday was such a beautiful day.
After a late night of being with some friends and sleeping in till the last minute and getting up for Church, My Darling and I spent the whole day together. After church we met up with my dear friend and her little girl for lunch and hung out for a long time. Then after lunch my darling and I went to the store to get me a pair of sunglasses (so my contacts would not melt to my eyes in the Hot Sun) and some sun screen. Then we went for a walk on the bike path.
As we were walking and talking, I noticed that the air was getting a bit cooler and I heard some Thunder in the distance. I saw the dark sky ahead but I felt we had time to walk to the end of the path and walk back to the car. I was Wrong!!
We get half way down the trail, (it's about a 5 mile trail maybe...) and the lightning started. I picked up the pace. Then I felt some rain drops, I went faster. Then it started pouring!! I jogged (all the while my darling was saying that it was such a bad idea going to the end of the trail! It kind of was...) Then out of no where, I get hit right smack dab between the eyes with a marble sized hail ball and I ran for it. kicked off my flip flops and sprinted for the car.
Well I'm not the best runner, I'm a bit out of shape, and the car kept getting further and further away. By the time we get to the car we where soaked! I could not catch my breath and we were covered with welts and bruises because of the storm!! But thinking on it now, it was kind of fun. It's a story we can tell every one at our wedding. :)
Well it rained and stormed off and on for a while and we were so tired.
After dinner we decided to watch a movie. But as soon as I laid my head down I was fast asleep. And did not wake up until my darling woke me up this morning to tell me that he had to go home and do home work. But even then I did not get up. I didn't get up until 10:30am. I jumped in the shower, made some coffee, got some cool, ready to work in clothes on, and drank my coffee.
Oh, my legs are sore. I'm still a bit tired. And yet, I'm ready to do what ever God gives me to do. (I just hope a little that it's easy and does not make me more sore. ^_^)
I can still see where the hail hit me last night. But again it was fun.
Well now the weather is warm and the wind is just cool enough, and I may just go for a walk or bike ride to stretch my legs a bit. Then check with my friend and co-worker to see when I work Wednesday.
The garden looks so nice. And momma, daddy, and sis planted lots of corn and green beans and gourds in the big garden. I can't wait to see them sprout. :)
I also have to build my garden box and plant my flowers and what not.

So Many Ideas.....My Dream Come True....
Today I found some neat DIY wedding websites and saw some cute ideas for the brides maids dresses. They looked like old fashioned summer/sun dresses. Real plane and simple with a bit of lace to add a touch of elegance. I loved them. And the best thing about the idea is that I can find a pattern at any fabric store or website!!
http://www.modcloth.com/Womens/Dresses/-Orlando-Blooms-Dress
I also found a great idea for my dress in the Feb. March. issue of Mary Janes Farm Magazine. They were running a four part story of a Home Grown Wedding, and the couple would write and tell what they did to make their wedding home made. Well the bride to be sent in a picture of a White Peacock Tail Feather Veil and a picture of her homemade dress. Unfortunately I can not find any pictures so I will have to scan the picture when I find it again. But the dress was BEAUTIFUL! Just the style I've been looking for. She made it out of silk and the bottom was frayed to look like feathers. It was also a halter tie and tea length! Oh, I wish I could have a dress like that!
The couple is also growing their own food for the reception. So this spring and summer I'm going to have my own garden boxes with all kinds of vegetables that I will can. And I'm going to plant some flowers for the bouquets! Flowers such as,
Snap Dragons!
White Shasta Daisy
Lilacs
![]() |
Queen Ann's Lace (yes I know it's a weed but it's pretty!)
For Get Me Nots
There are so many more flowers too. I think I will ask each of my Bridesmaids what their favorite flower is and I'll plant it. So then they can cut and arrange their own bouquets on the wedding day! I'll also ask the Grooms Men if they have a flower preference too.
Also I'm going to hit all the thrift stores I can find to look for some things to help save money. I'll be on the look out for things like,
Tea Cups, Platers, Plates, Mason Jars, Vases, Silver Wear, and Vintage Fabric to make napkins and table clothes and what not!
OH!! Did I mention that I won!! Yes! I won a pair of shoes to wear on my wedding day!! I entered a contest on the Eco-Beautiful Wedding Blog and saw the contest. All I had to do was leave a comment on how I would wear the shoes on my wedding day and then they would pick the winner.
So I commented; "I plan on swing dancing at my wedding so I’ll kick off the heals and slip my toes in a pair of these and dance the night away. I’ll also wear them all the time after the wedding also. I never like to wear shoes but when I do I like slip on’s so these are just right for me!!
Thanks for the chance to enter!! ~*Caitlynn."
And they picked me!! The shoes are very cute you can find shoes just like them at HydraHeart Esty Shop! I love that they are homemade and vegan. So that means no animal skin was used. And they would look so cute walking down the aisle!! :)
I do believe these are the shoes I will receive! (photo from Hydra Heart Etsy)
I can't wait to see them and try them on! I will have to refrain from wearing them before the wedding though!! I tend to get my shoes dirty.
But yeah! So many ideas, planning, and cute things for my wedding.
I can't wait to see everything fall into place and become my dream come true!
With Love, Prayers, Blessings and Warm Thoughts.

Oh they say when You marry in June.....
...You're a Bride, All Your Life!!" (Song from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.)
That song has been playing in my head ever sense My Darling and I sat down and discussed wedding dates. We did plan for a fall wedding, I've always wanted a fall wedding, so it was October 20, 2012! But then I got to thinking about an evening wedding and having the dancing and dinner go on into the night! Then I thought about how cold fall nights could get and I didn't want anyone to freeze so I asked Darling if we could move the date up... so we decided on... June 16, 2012.
Darling did ask me the other day if I would consider moving the date again to May because one of the grooms men lives out of state and another is in ROTC and may be leaving in June. So I'm considering it.
I do still want the wedding outside under the setting sun and have dinner under the stars and moon, and a fifties-ish style wedding.

I have always liked the 1950's. The dresses were just darling, and the make up was so out of the norm with the bright red lipstick and silly hair to go with it. But ever sense Darling has introduced me to Swing Dancing I've been in LOVE with the 50's!

I love the tea length dresses. Just long enough to be a wedding gown, but short enough to dance in and be comfortable. I'm still on the look out for one. I would it to be love at first sight with this dress. I want to see it on a website or store and just melt! I would love to be able to put it on and have it fit so right, that I wont need to alter it at all.
I love looking at ideas for 50's style outdoor weddings. There are so many ideas out there and I come up with my own all the time!

Now being engaged is not all I thought it would be either. There are a few times I just wish we were married already or not engaged at all. Those are the times I really have to sit down and pray, and listen to what God has to tell me. Right now in our engagement we need to see if we really are ready to get married. We should have done this before, but Darling kind of jumped the gun. (Maybe God wanted it this way?!) But all I know is that I love Darling with all of my heart, and even though we may fight at times or look unhappy, we do love each other.
When I start to feel like I'm second guessing being engaged, or whether we should get married or not, I look at the ring on my finger and pray. I pray for guidance, wisdom, patience, peace, and love to give as well as receive.
I'm trying to be patent with the planing. Sometimes I do feel rushed. But I have a year and four months to get the big things done, and then two months to get it all put together. So I have plenty of time. Time to enjoy telling every one the engagement story, time to browse the internet for vintage dresses, time to think and breathe! So much time!! Time to be with my darling and beloved and God!
But still, I can't wait to be married, run my own house, and live my own life with my beloved. God surly had a plan when I first met my darling, when we first started to date and hang out, and now He will have a new plan for our lives together.
God Bless our Lives and Love!
With Love, Prayers, and Blessings.

This is harder than it looks....
So planing a wedding is kind of hard. I just can't seem to get out of the "Day Dream" stage of being engaged and in to "I'm getting married and need to plan this before (at the least) August of 2012!" stage just long enough to put some of my thoughts on to paper. But when I start all I seem to write is My Name next to his. And my name with his last name and what not!! Gerrrrr.... I am quite frustrated with myself. But I should enjoy that. I think I deserve some time to just day dream a bit longer. Because now when I dream I can put a face to the man at the alter who has been waiting for me all his life. See HIS face looking deep into mine and hearing HIS voice say "I Do!" It's what I've been dreaming of. And now those dreams are coming true. And now I'm starting to think that it's all happening all too fast!!!
Ok... just breath.... take a drink of coffee.... ok that's better. You are still just ENGAGED! you have time. A year and a half is plenty of time to figure out colors and dresses and who will be there and what kind of cake and find a dress or make your own dress. It's going to be ok.
Sigh. "Lord. Fill me with peace! Lend me some insight. Hold my hand till he takes it. Then hold us in your arms while we are in each others. Guide me through this. Bless us. Keep us. Show us your way with this. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen"
There I feel much better.
Well now. Tonight I am going ice skating with my fieance'. Our first date sense Christmas Eve. Tomorrow is a home school get together at his house. I can't wait for that. I'll get to see friends who I have not seen in a very long time. I get to show off my ring. (Which I really like doing. Is that silly or what!?!?) And I'll just get to have fun and chill.
Friday New Years Eve, will be a nice night. Dad, little sis, fieance' and I are going to a Blue Jackets Hockey game. I love hockey. I don't really know why. I guess it's because I can understand the rules better and I know how to keep score. New Years Day, lunch at my grandparents and then dinner with my family and fieance'.
Sunday. Well Sunday is going to be VERY interesting. I'm going to go to my (soon to be) in-laws church and after I will be going out with my (soon to be) little sister-in-law and our friend for lunch and after lunch they are taking me to go get my nose pierced. I can't wait for that. Every time I think of nose piercings I think of Rebecka. And how the servant put gold rings in her nose to show that she is promised to her beloved. I like that. But I'm not going to get a gold ring. Just a small stud to start with.
But yea. That is whats been going through my mind sense last time we spoke.
Well I am going to go get ready to go out to lunch with my older sister. Have a Blessed day.
With Love, Prayers and Blessings.

A very Marry Christmas......
Well this was certainly a Christmas to remember. First my Mom, Dad, Little Sister and Boyfriend and I went to my older sisters house for Christmas Eve. We opened presents, and ate some food.
At about five o'clock my boyfriend and I got ready to go out. It was a surprise date for me. We left my sisters house and drove for what seemed for ever and I finally saw hints to where we were going. We were heading to where we go Contra dancing. I was a little happy to be going there, I mean I've not been dancing for a while and it would be nice to go again. Well we pull up to the dance hall and I notice that all of the lights int he building were out and there were no cars in the lot. I was just a tad confused. "There is no one here." I said. "I know." said my boyfriend as he got out of the car. I get out and hold my coat close to me against the cold night. It was lovely outside. As we walked around to the front of the building he stopped me and we stood under a street lamp. "We have been dating for 1 year, 6 months, 25 days, and 23 hours. This is where I took you dancing for the first time on April 22, 2009. And that was the night I first held your hand. This is also where we went to our first waltz May 30, 2009 and I asked you to be my girlfriend. Thus started our courtship and deeper friendship. I want you to look at some pictures I have for you." and here he hands me some pictures. The pictures were of places that play a part of our friendship and courtship. Where we first met, his house, my house, his dorm, and the place where we went to our swing dance lessons. The last picture was of a ring...... I look over to see my boyfriend down on one nee with a box and a beautiful ring. I immediately start to cry. He said, "We have been through a long journey together and i know that we have grown together and grown closer to God as well, and I'm asking that we continue our journey. Will you MARRIE ME!?"
OH THAT'S RIGHT I'M ENGAGED!!!!
I can't believe it my self. It was so romantic. And sweet. It was the best Christmas present I've ever received. I love him so much. And we are growing more in love with every day!
We are planing on getting married sometime in 2012. That way he can finish college and we will have a few months to plan. Maybe October. I love the fall. And it well be a wonderful outdoor fall wedding.
Christmas day was great too. I and my sister each got a new sewing machine, and I got some drinking glasses and a crock pot for my hope chest.
This Was The Best Christmas Ever.
I pray that your Christmas was just as wonderful. God Bless.

Just some Photos of Winter.....
Wednesday, December 01, 2010
Oh, Baby it's Cold Out Side....
"I really can't stay(baby it's cold outside), I have to 'way(baby it's cold outside), This evening has been...so very nice(I'll take you hands their cold as ice)....I really can't stay...Oh, but Baby it's Cold OutSide!"
I love that song so very much. I never want to leave my nice warm(ish) house in the winter. And if there is snow on the gound... ForGetIt!! :) But if I really must I do enjoy seeing the world covered in glitter and gleam!
Winter is a nice season to look at. I hate being in the snow on really cold, windy days. But if it's a nice some what warm, gentle breeze kind of day, I like going out and taking pictures of and kicking up the snow.
Today is one of the first days of snow. It's sticking to the ground and falling ever so much. It started snowing last night and is still sifting from the sky. It really is pretty to look at but it's way too cold for me. So I'll stay in today.
Well only 23 days till Christmas, I count Christmas Eve as Christmas day as well because we go to my older sisters house and open a few presents. I'm not sure what this Christmas will bring sense my boyfriend and I are a little more serious this year. Maybe after my Grandparents leave my house I may go to his house or he can come over to mine then switch so we can see each others families. I do count his family as mine because I am friends with all of his siblings and his mom is sweet and step dad is a hoot and a holler!! :)
I can't wait till Christmas. I love the music, the decorations, gift giving!!! It's great. But I do have to admit that I am kind of relieved when it's over because as it gets closer and closer I get so stressed.
But I do love Christmas.
On the 6th, is my dad's and boyfriends birthday! Dad will be (dare I say?!?) *4years old. (hahaha not I shan't get in to trouble!) and my boyfriend shall be 21! My birthday is two months away tomorrow! I'll be 20!!! OH GOODNESS 20!!
No I am not ready for my birthday. I am not in college and really can't decide if I want to go. And who knows if I'll be planning a wedding or will be single, or still with him?!?!? OH I"M NOT READY! But it's the Lords will that I get older every year so I shall embrace it and greet it with a smile and prayer!!!
Well I'm running out of things to talk about. So I shall go and knit and write a song maybe!! :)
With Love, Prayers, and Blessings.

~*While I wait Paiently*~...
"How Long Will You Make Me Wait? I Don't Know How Much More I Can Take..."
(To Whom It May Concern - The Civil Cars)
It's Spring, time to plant the garden and flowers and wait! I always have to wait. My Boyfriend is in China for a business class and I have to wait 21 more days till he comes home!
I have to wait for school to be over! I have to wait on God's time!! (Ecclesiastes. 3:1-8)
But most of all I have to wait for My Beloved! Whom God is taking care of for me as He is taking care of me for him! I have always loved the "Praying for my Beloved" because it puts your full trust in God and in His timing! I have read many blogs and devotions about this and this has made me feel some what happy. Because every time I pray for my beloved I feel closer to God and feel like my beloved is praying for me.
There are a lot of things we must wait on. Sometimes I really hate to wait sometimes. Like when you are baking chocolate chip cookies and they are in the oven and you have to wait for them to bake. Then you have to take them out then you have to wait for them to cool. That is the kind of waiting I don't like.
I also don't like waiting for e-mails form my boyfriend! It's hard cause he is almost twelve hours ahead of us! It's so funny, I sent him an e-mail this morning and I told him good night but it was 930am here! It's great.
Sigh I also can't wait for camp. I love camp and I can't wait for school to be over.
When I left for school today my little sisters nanny goat was in labor, When I got home form work there were two Baby Boys!! They are so cute but we kind of wanted and needed girls!! Awe well you get what you get! Well that is all for now. I hope you can wait for my next post! ;)
Until we meet(again),
Love, Prayers, and Blessings,
Caitydid!

Summer Reading...
Well I know I will be busy this summer with the garden boxes and work and camp and what not, But there is always time to read right?!
So I was looking at some blogs that I like to read and I saw that one had a reading list. I looked at the titles and I liked the was some of them sound so I wrote them down and made my own Summer Reading List!
Maybe You would like to read along with me....
I made my boyfriend read I Kissed Dating Good Bye so he knew where I was coming from when we first started dating. My friend let me read her copy after I had broke up with my ex and after reading the book My mind was wide open! I was able to (some what) trust guys and my self again and not feel all awkward around them. So that is why I made my BF read it. So he knew what I was talking about and so we could set up boundaries in our relationship with each other! It's a great book if you want to meet guys but not date them because it just has a whole lot of truth in it!
There will be more book to come to keep checking in and read along with me! It will be a great way to spend summer evenings or just an afternoon after church or during lunch! So read along and enjoy Gods blessings known as Books!!
Have a wonderful and Blessed day!

Spring Time
Sense the first of the month, they weather has been nice. The sun was shining and it was warm and moods were perking up!
But now for the past three or four days it has been raining, and the weather has been a little chilly.
But Spring is coming! And that makes me happy, because then I can plant the flower seeds that I bought and make my garden box and plant some of my own vegietables and other things!
I also can't wait till St. Patrick's Day! I'm so Irish in the month of March it's pretty much amazing. I remember when I was little I wanted to dye my hair green and wear an outfin of all green! But I can't do that now because my teacher will take away grade points for the green hair and I have to wear my black pants for class but I am aloud to wear a green shirt and my FAVORITE lime green four inch high heals! I can't wait!
School has been going ok. I still don't like my class and I'm looking for a GED class to take that doesn't run at the same time as my class. I'm also thinking of alpplying for Wright State College. But that's still a maybe.
The animals are doing good. I gave the rabbit his pre-spring time hair cut, and the Horses are happy to be out of the snow but now they have to deal with the rain and mud! Poor things are up to their hocks in mud!!
We have seen some flowers bloom already! They are very pretty. All purple and yellow and green. It makes me happy to know that I'm not the only one ready for sunshine and warm weather.
Well that is it for now!!
