~*In*The*Garden*~

Well I am not able to do a big garden box this planting season like I was planning, due to the fact that we moved, and only have a 4x7' porch off of our kitchen.
I am, however, doing my container planting. I've got some things started and I'm slowly adding more.
Right now I've got some Lettuce sprouts, Bush Beans, Carrots and Turnips. I've also got some Shasta Daisies going. Would you like to see my little garden?!

My Salad Container.
Got the Dirt and Container from Dollar Tree Momma got them for My Easter Basket. :)

Carrots and Turnips. I need to thin them out and add more dirt/seeds.
We had a heavy rain after I planted them and forgot to add holes to the bottom of the container and most of the dirt flooded out. Oops.

Bush Beans/Green Beans.
The little round plant in front of the beans is a House Plant clipping Momma gave me. He is doing well. :)

Daisy!!!!

I checked on my "friends" this morning and noticed that my beans look a little Burnt?!. Is there anyone out there who can help me with this problem? I water my plants in the mornings when needed. And they get morning sun. We have a South facing apartment, and the kitchen/back porch face east while the living room faces the west. So my plants get part sun. It has been warm and humid here. I think mid 80's so far. But is there a way to fix my bean plants?

Feel free to comment if you have any ideas or advice on what to do about my poor little beans.

I hope you are having a wonderful day. I am so far. We just got back from a trip back home for my dear friends wedding. It was beautiful. Out doors at Fort Ancient, the bride (my friend) was barefoot, vegan, Wonderful!!

Me and the Lovely Bride!!! (Photo Bombed by the Groom)

As we where home, daddy and Chris took a look at the car, it was making a grinding noise. So they took off all the tires to check the breaks, and low and behold, the rear tire break drum was broke. We drove 500+ miles with a broken break! So it got fixed. As the "boys" were working on the car, I helped Momma and my little sister work in the garden and around the house.

Fixing the Breaks.

I hear Clucking.....

Well that's about it. You never really know what will happen/be going on when you go home for a visit. But it's always a good visit.

 Have a wonderful, blessed day.

Musings From Missouri.

 Yes that's right. Missouri.

We are moved. Have been for a while. I'm sorry for not updating sooner. I've just been very un-creative lately. Also, I've been busy getting the new apartment set up and finding a job, and getting a library card and missing my family and home. Oh how I miss home.

My Mom and Dad came down about a week after we moved to bring me my van, and drop off our, washer and dryer!! I don't have to go to smelly, sketchy laundromats anymore!!! That makes me so happy. It's saving us time, gas, and money doing laundry here. And the fact that I have no idea where the laundromat is here in this new town, I don't know how close it is, or how much it is, it's so nice to just wash my clothes here at the apartment. :)

Momma and Daddy didn't stay too long. Just the weekend, it wasn't long enough, I miss them. I was able to go home for Easter. Left for home on Thursday, 8 hours of open highway, 2 bottles of water, 2 bathroom stops, one gas stop, and I was home. Spent the day just chilling with my family on Friday. Then my nephew had a birthday party on Saturday, Easter lunch at my Grandma and Grandpas on Sunday, Shopping with my momma and lunch with Daddy and older sister on Monday, then I had to drive 8 hours back to Missouri on Tuesday, first day of work on Wednesday.

I got a lot of visiting done in that weekend. Now I'm back in the South. In the mountains, (not really, the closest Ozark range is still some miles away. We are in the foot hills.) In our new apartment, working, (yeah!!!) and getting ready to do some gardening. Momma got me some potting soil and planters and seeds so I can get dirty. I'll start that tonight after work.

I'm happy to be working again, even if it is just 3 hours a day right now, It's giving me something else to do, and getting me up early. I get up at 7:30 am, get my coffee started, do some work outs, then eat breakfast and get ready for work at 11:00 am. Then I get home about 2:30 pm, I may talk to Momma and my Nephew on Skype, then maybe so some laundry, get the dish washer going, or now, Garden!

Oh yes, we have a dish washer now too!! Living the high life here!

Other than that, not much has been going on here. I'm trying to get more hours for work or maybe a second job. We have extra bills now too, so we are trying to keep up. It's hard. We are struggling a bit right now, but I have faith that we will pull through. I'm praying for more hours or a second job.

Thanks For Stopping by and listening (reading). Many Blessings to You From Missouri,
Arielle Caitlynn

Here Comes The Sun...

...And I Say, It's All Right... (The Beatles, Here Comes the Sun)

I am so longing for sunshine and warm weather.

I am longing for long walks in the evenings, and finding new places to sit and think.

I am longing for playtimes in the park.

I am longing for a cool breeze coming through my open windows that smell of fresh flowers, warm earth, and on coming rain.

I am longing to get my hands in the dirt and plant. Getting my food fresh from the garden and having a wonderful dinner with loved ones all around.

I am longing for.........

I am longing for evenings listening to the crickets, the rain fall, thunder rolling in the distance, seeing laundry hanging on the line, hearing chickens cluck, goats "maaaaaaaaaaa" at each other, But Most Of All,
 I am longing for Spring!

Good Morning!!

It's a beautiful pre-summer day. I'm up early, and waiting on my coffee and doing some yoga in the morning sun coming through my living room windows.

I work today at 11:00 am, and I'm not sure when I'll be home. But I am happy to have at least this one job this summer. My Darling Husband has been laid off for the month of May so he is a very busy bee trying to get a second job that may lead into a better (paying) full time job. I'm still working at the college, setting up, serving at, and cleaning up banquets. There are not as many this year as there were last, but I'm happy to still have some paying hours.
I'm also happy to have some days off too, I'll be going home some, to help momma in the garden and with her soap business. I'm also cranking out some home made stuff myself!!
Caity's Home Made Concoctions will be rolling into business soon!
I'll be making Little Guy Neck Ties,

 Coffee Cozies,

& Little Girrly Head Bands. I'll be branching out to make more things as well but in time.
I can't wait to start an online business with Momma! It will be so much fun. We have always talked about doing it and now with her selling her soap and homemade do-dads at the shop, she is really taking off, I just have to catch up a bit. We are going to make a small dream come true.
Things here in the apartment on Main St, are about the same. Wake up, drink coffee, check email, facebook, my darling wakes up, get ready for work (if I work that day) read, sew, crochet while watching a movie during lunch... about the same. Just different work hours now.
I'm not going to complain about work, lack of, or too much. I'm content where I am right now. Yes there is always that deep down secret, not so secret, wish of having more money to get a bigger place and setting up a savings account for future little ones when they come around, but for now I'm content. Nothing wrong with that. We are happy, we have food, bills and rent are getting paid, so no worries. God will provide.
Well my friend(s) it was nice Chatting with you. Until we meet again,
Many Blessings.

My Next Project(s)

This week I will try to make a whole outfit, (Try being the key word here...)

First will be a new top!

Got this pattern off of Pinterest of course. I love the Butterfly tops. They are so cute.

Then I shall make a Wrap Skirt...

This too came off of Pinterest.

I am still working on the dress I made from this pattern...

It made a nice LONG dress. I think I might wear it to a friends wedding in June. :) Or for our One Year Anniversary Picnic in June.

If I have time and the supplies, I may make a pair of these pants...

A friend of mine showed me this picture and asked if there was a way to make them... I said I would try. Doesn't look too hard. I have never made pants before so I will get a simple sweat/pj pants pattern form the store and go from there. The waist looks like a wide bias tape (I know how to make that) and the legs have 1/4" or smaller elastic in them. Then make a draw string to keep them up and TaDa!!! :)

I will try my best! :)

 Til Next time,

When Life Gives You Lemons...

 You make do... (me)

I found this little picture today, and it just kind of made my day.

Pinterest Photo
I have been trying to teach myself to sew my own clothes. I am finding lots of good ideas and patterns from other blogs on Pinterest and I'm just trying my hand at everything. I really want to make more skirt and dresses, but Now I really would like to try to maybe make some pants and tops too.

My Darling and I are trying to save as much money as we can, so that's why I'm trying to make my own clothes. I'm mending and sewing and knitting and crocheting like crazy! I'm also thinking about making and selling some of my home made Coffee Sleeves at a store in my hometown where my Momma sells her soap and other crafts. I just need to get some made up and e-mail the stores owner. :)

Not a whole lot has been going on in my life as far as exciting or life changing. The weather has been in the low to mid 70's this week. Yesterday I could have guessed it to be in the 80's it was so hot. And I was in a skirt (nice and flowy and knee length) and a tank top with a little shoulder cover and sandals. I was very warm by the time I got to work. Today how ever, it's raining and chilly. But it's better than snow I guess.

This past weekend I got to go visit with my family. My little sister was sick over Easter, so it was nice to see her up and about and cleaning the cow pin. ;)
This weekend I'm going back to help in the garden and just relax.

I haven't been cooking much, but today I think I'll make some fish with some stir fried vegetables and a cup cake or two for dessert.

Rachel Ray Tilapia - 1 cup grated parmasean, 2 tsp paprika, 1 tsp lemon pepper / garlic salt, 1 Tbs parsley, dash red pepper flakes Coat fish with olive oil and cover in cheese mixture, bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes until fish is white in middle

Cup Cakes For Two- for when you just don't need a bunch of sweets laying around - 1 egg white, 2 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons melted butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/4 cup flour 1/4 heaped teaspoon baking powder, pinch of salt, 1 1/2 tablespoons milk
I think this will be a very good lunch to have while watching a movie and crocheting.

Hope you are having a wonderful day whom ever you are.

Many Blessings,

~*Arielle*Caitlynn

A Little Bit of Sun, and Hope

I remember planting bulbs with my momma one year. I remember her telling me that even when there is snow on the ground these flowers will bloom and grow and give us hope for spring.
This is the flower I look forward to seeing Every Spring. The bulbs are so close to the surface, that as soon as the Sun gets the least bit warmer, and like clock work it's mid March every year!, They pop their little heads out of the snow, giving us hope for a Beautiful Spring! ~ The Crocus

Many Blessings,
