We are very blessed and excited to have our own home now. We have been living here for half a year now, and it still feels like a dream to me.
This weekend starts our first holiday season as home owners and again, we are very excited!!

Dreams do Come True!!

Well, it's finally happening. I may get to be a daycare/preschool teacher!!!
I'm so very excited. I can't wait to start this new chapter in my career life. I'll be working 4, 10 hour days, from 6 am to about 6 pm. The position that is open that I could possibly fill is working with the 1 year olds. I honestly couldn't describe how happy and excited I am for this opportunity. I'm just so happy. I also may be teaching a new friend how to crochet a blanket for her fiance, and we went to go get some yarn and a crochet hook for her today.
I never knew what was to come of my life when I decided to stay in Arkansas. I just figured I would continue to waitress and work at the bakery until I got married again and had kids. But now.... My Dream Of Becoming A Teacher Is Coming True!!! I am just so, so, so happy. Wish me luck on my working interview on Monday and keep me in your prayers.

A Lot Has Been Going On....

It's true, there has been a lot going on.
Almost every weekend I'm out and a bout. Either with my darling, or friends. Or, moving into my new apartment!
Yes, that's right. I'm now on my own. I'm living in a nice little town near a Christian College, the same place where my darling works and lives. I'm about three block away from him and right next to the fire department.
The place is nice. I really like it. I also like being able to walk everywhere. Right now I'm sitting in a nice little cafe' drinking some coffee and listening to some older folks talk.
I'm still kind of moving in, but that's ok I'm only 45 minutes from home, so going to get something I left behind is easy!
The reason I wanted to move, was for a change. And more room to grow. To grow personally and spiritually. My roommate isn't home all day so I get some quite time. In that time I get to listen to myself, and to God. I also wanted to be closer to more job opportunities. And it's making it easier to plan the wedding as well.
This move is also helping to ready myself for living for myself. To take care of a home, and bills, and everything I need to know to care for my home with my darling.
I've been here for four days and three nights now. I'm still getting used to living in a town. But it gets pretty quite around 10:00pm. So that's nice. The only thing is there is a lamp post right outside my window. So I need some curtains. :)
Here is the front door of the building.
There are four apartments in the building. I'm in first one.

This is the living room. I'm in here every night to watch tv and just chill.

Here is the Kitchen. I spend alot of time in here as well.

This is my room. I'm still moving in so it looks kind of empty.

The other half of my room. :)

I'm very happy here. I do miss home. Like in the mornings, I miss hearing my momma and sister talking. But like I said I'm not far from home so if I ever miss them too awe-full much, I can just drive up there. :)

God has blessed me with this opportunity, and I will Honor Him with living it to it's fullest!!

Happy Halloween. Many Blessings.

It's getting cold...

Well my friends, It's fall. Though the "first day of fall" has not yet been upon us, it's getting cold, the leaves are changing color, and the harvest is done. So to me it is fall.

I love fall. I love the colors of the leaves. The smell of the leaves on the ground and I also love,
   HALLOWEEN!!!!

Trick-or-Treat was one of my favorite nights of the year because you go to dress up and play make believe with thousands of other kids and people, then you got FREE CANDY! what little kid does not like free candy!?! I did.

Yes I know that Halloween comes to us from the pagans, druids, and Celts. But I never looked at it that way. I looked at it from the prospective of a child. I loved playing dress up (still do) and I loved walking around looking at all the different costumes and guessing who there were and were supposed to be, and getting free candy.

It's like I told my darling one day as we were out on a date, I told him it's not like my sisters and I said a prayer of thanks to the devil for our sweets!! No we wanted to play pretend. That's all.

I'm not a big fan of those out there who look down on my family for going out trick-or-treating. I think that's wrong. I don't look down on them for having a Christmas tree, (psst... which was brought to us by the pagans!)
They let their kids play dress up. How is that any different from dressing in a costume? Yes I do understand that some of the costumes and a tad bit questionable, like the mini skirts for the little girls and the gruesome masks for the boys. Those I tend to stay away from. Yes I was a witch for almost every Halloween of my youth, but I was a good witch. I did't try to scare the kids. If they jumped and ran when I jumped out of the bushes AFTER they got their candy, well then they were just jumpy! ;)

All I'm trying to say here is that I, me, myself, Love Halloween. This year I would like to maybe have a bon-fire and make it a costume party as well. I'm planning on being a Gypsy or maybe Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas and my darling can be Jack The Pumpkin King! or what ever. :)

I'm very open minded. I did a religion study, and learned about all the different religions of the world including some of Wicca, and Cults. Just so I can understand the world around me. Understand how to tell these people about why I love Jesus and God. That's all. I just like knowing and understanding, why.

  Well, I have some news!

Last week I bought my Wedding Dress!
About three days after that it came in the Mail!!!
I would love to post some pictures but I dont' know if my darling reads my blog or not. And I don't want him to see it just yet.
But it's perfect. White Strapless, tea length. With a Lilac ribbon on it. It's a 1950's vintage dress.
I'm very happy with it.
It does need to be taken in a bit but I know of some people/places that can do that. :)
Now I just need some shoes for the ceremony and I'll be all set!
For my jewelry I plan on wearing the purl necklace my darling got me when he was in China.
And some purl and diamond earrings.
Oh, I'm so excited for the wedding! Only Nine Months from today.
There is still some planning to do.
Guest list, Booking the Camp Ground, Food (what would we like to serve and where to get it.), D.J. Decorations!
It's going to be fun.

With many warm, thoughtful Prayers,
Caitydid.

Under the "Weather"

Well it's fall around here and one way you can really tell is by the change in weather in just one day. Let me explain, while at work I'll arrive in jeans, work boots (they keep my toes warm), a long sleeved shirt, a button up flannel shirt and a zip up hoodie. As the day goes on I'll loose the hoodie. Then the sun will get warmer around 1:30pm now so by then I'll take off the flannel shirt. So I'm left with my cute long sleeved and new jeans. But then around 4:00pm sometimes even 3:30pm it starts to get cooler so back on goes the flannel shirt. Then by the time I get home I'm right back to where I started. About four layers of clothes! Go on and say it, I know, I'm a silly girl for wearing that many layers this early in the season. But I have an excuse, I'm thin so I need more installation. HAHAHAHA!!!! (plus I hate being cold.)

Well with the start of this new season, I've been trying to keep myself busy. I've been Christmas shopping when ever I can and I've been trying to get together with some friends. I've been going to church and Sunday school. I've also been doing some knitting and crocheting!
Right now I'm working on knitting some BIG strips to quilt together for an afghan for my hope chest! I got the prettiest yarn. It's full of fall colors. Deep purple, golden orange, bright yellow and brilliant red! I also got some dark brown and light orange to make some strips to go with it! I can't wait till it's done. I'm still knitting the first one. It's 100sts wide and will be very long.  The pattern I'm using is, Knit 2, Purl 2. I love how it looks. I'll post some pictures when I get farther along. It's going to be so beautiful!
I love Fall!! The colors, the cool air, the way the leaves look when they fall in the wind! I think the leaves look like multi-colored glitter falling on the land-scape!! I just love it!

Well not much has been going on here on our little hobby farm. Just the same old same. My little sister is taking care of her animals. I cut the rabbits hair (to spin into yarn). And every one has been working. Mom and sis are working on a farm not far from here. They help with pony rides, hay rides and pumpkin painting. One of my dearest friends works there too. Dad is still working hard to make sure we have what we need to get by, and I'm still working at the golf course! Though that will end soon because of the weather and what not. So I'm on the search for a new job for winter and spring. Then it's on to college(maybe).
That's about it for now. I'll work on some of me pictures to post here soon.

With Love, Prayers, Blessings, and Warm Thoughts.

Fall Is Falling!!!!

Well, Fall is coming! I love fall. The colors, the smells, the cooler weather! It's just perfect.
But with the end of one season, comes another. Summer into fall, hate into love, sadness into hope. Fall gives me some new hope every year. Because I know what is coming after, winter. I really don't like winter, but after winter is spring. So fall is really an awakening to me. Like the bold colors of the trees and whisper of the wind are reminding me that even in the times when you think life is just getting to hot and stressful, God will give you a cool breeze and something to slow down and marvel at. Also it's a time for us to speed things up. Like getting the canning done before winter, and getting the garden tilled and dressed for the next planting. Getting the house cleaned before we have to shut it up for cold weather. Like how I'm trying to clean my room and re-organize it!!
Also this fall I am doing my own kind of college work. I'm researching Autism, and Art Therapy. I would like to go to college for an Art Therapy Major and an Early Childhood Special Education Minor. I would love to work with mostly Autistic children and maybe some adults. I just feel like that is what I am meant to do. :)
Some more changes that this coming season is bringing are, canning!! Momma has been canning like crazy. We have Apples, tomatoes, peaches, and lots of other things. So we will have some healthy, organic meals to come this winter. Another change, (kind of a silly one) I stopped cutting my hair! Last October I got my hair cut. It used to be to just below my mid back. When I got it cut it was just above my shoulders. This summer..... just below my earlobes!!! It looked cute. Some people liked it. But after a while I got bored with it and wanted it to grow out so I could put up and some cute way like I had before. Well I just couldn't stop trimming it. But now I have just the right kind of layer in my hair, and I'm letting it grow. I want it to be below my mid back again. So maybe this coming summer it will be back to where it should be! (fingers crossed!)
One more change, (this one is alittle more change of heart but not mind or feelings) My boyfriend and I decided to take a break for a month. We were just arguing more than we should and just getting mad at each other and not looking forward to seeing each other like we used to. So I prayed about it and I feel like God has told us to just back off and work on school, work, and finding Him again. We still email, and text but we will not see or talk to each other unless we really have to. I am trying to come up with some fun 'Fall Dates' for us to do. Like bike riding, going to open mic nights at the cafe' next to his apartment, and spending time with friends outside of the apartment. (like not being inside at all. unless we get hungry for food or are cold. but I will not spend time in his apartment with him and his friends. just outside the 'home' dates/courtship!!)
So there are a few changes of season in my life! Some Great, some good, some silly, and one that hurts alittle. But Change is good. Even though it may get cold, and make you sad, or get hot and make you feel angry. But sometimes the feeling is warm, and can make you feel happy!! But the thing to remember that what ever change brings, it's in God's time and it will always turn out good in the end!
I pray that what ever change you are going through, whether it be seasonal, or God given timing, I pray that you stay strong in the Lord and trust Him with all your heart and that your ending is a happy one.

With Love, Prayers, Good Thoughts, and Blessings,
God Bless, ~*Caitydid*~
