117 Days Til the Big Day!!!!!!!!

Oh yes, that's right! 117 Days Til my Darling and I say "I Do"!
So much has been done and still needs to be done.

A couple weeks ago I called the camp ground and asked if We could have June 16, 2012 booked for our wedding. The lady said Yes! So for $300. we get 10 hours (pretty much the whole day) and the whole camp to ourselves! I'm so excited! The night before the wedding party, our parents, my darling and I are going to go up, have a quick rehearsal, bring the decorating stuff and get the lodge cleaned up, so the next morning all we have to do is wake up, get there bright and early, set up, have a quick lunch, the girls and I will head out to get our hair done, the guys will do what ever they need to do, come back, get dressed, and get hitched by sun down!

Momma and I were brainstorming some food ideas the other day, and we came up with, A Pick Nick Dinner Reception! Some guests can bring a blanket or table cloth if they like, also a nice big pick nick style side dish. We will put the food in the lodge, and prop the doors open so guests can either eat inside at a table, out side at a table or on a nice blanket with candles and lights and flowers all around! It's going to be great! For drinks we will have homemade sun tea, sweetened, non sweetened, and sweetened with honey, coffee, champagne, sparkling cider, soda-pop, lemonade, and water. For dessert.... CAKE!(see further down to see why I'm so excited about the cake) Cup Cakes, (provided by my little sister/M.O.H.#1) A chocolate fountain with fruit and maybe some mini cakes to dip, (chocolate fountain provided by my older sister/M.O.H.#2) And maybe some sugar cookies cut out and decorated to look like a bride and groom, (maybe all of my brides maids/M.O.H'S. can help make them! along with some friends!) Momma said she would cover the main dish and catering if we choose to cater. She has been calling around and asking for some prices. :)

And Now...

 For the Cake!
For the cake, my darling works in a cafeteria at the college he graduated from, and is friends with the ladies who work in the bakery. He said they did his boss' daughters wedding cake and it was beautiful and didn't cost much at all. So the night before last I drew up a sketch of my ideal wedding cake (very simple with little detail but still so pretty!) and yesterday at lunch I took it in and showed one of the ladies. She said it could be done, that she will talk to another lady about price and get back with my darling either today or tomorrow! I'm so very happy.

The decoration will be very DIY, home made, cozy, and just right! Here are some pictures I got off of Pinterest......My wedding Pinterest Board......

This one is my Fav! Sense it's going to be a pick nick wedding! :)

I'm going to make TONS of these old Road signs to go up to tell everyone where to go

I'm getting so very excited again. When my Darling first asked me to Marrie him I was SUPER excited, then I kind of mellowed out for a bit got my head straight, started writing down ideas, Then got SUPER excited again! Then kind of just chilled during the holidays and took things easy just kept my head on the holidays, and fiances and everything. Now I'm SUPER EXCITED AGAIN! It's all coming together so nicely and it's really becoming Real! I mean... I got the dress (still need to get it re-sized and cleaned) the Time (June 16, 2012 @ 6:45pm) the Place (Camp Ground) We got the Photographer and DJ (wife and husband team!Deal!!), the invitations, My darling and the grooms men already have their own suits, (we are providing the shirt and tie) The Cake is TBA, The Wedding Bands, All we need are, The Brides Maids dresses,(simple sun/Easter dresses will be great!) the decorations, the Marriage License, the Food, Send the Invitations, set the RSVP's, wedding showers, the bachelor & the bachelorette parties, thank you notes, and song list!

So much done! Not much left to do! Now is the time I should start calling my BM's and ask them to help out any way they can. :) I can't wait to tell you more about the wedding plans, and then the actual Wedding it's self! There will be so many photos and things to show you and tell you. :) SIGH!!!!!! This is really happening. I'm getting married and I'm so excited about it. I'm going to wear a 1950's vintage wedding dress. My Darling will get to see me walk down the aisle (row of chairs) then WE will take our Vows Before our closest friends and family and God and become Husband and Wife. We will start our lives together. Start a family. :) It's just so wonderful.... I truly am Blessed to have such a great hard working man in my life. So Blessed to have wonderful Family and Friends who have stuck and are sticking by our sides through every little detail of our lives this far. And now to share the Biggest event of our lives other than being born for eachother....... It's really happening! To Me, To Him, To Us, To You (already, soon, someday).

Many Happy and Joyous Blessings to You on this Wonderful, Beautiful, Sunny, Warm Day.
With Love,

It's getting cold...

Well my friends, It's fall. Though the "first day of fall" has not yet been upon us, it's getting cold, the leaves are changing color, and the harvest is done. So to me it is fall.

I love fall. I love the colors of the leaves. The smell of the leaves on the ground and I also love,
   HALLOWEEN!!!!

Trick-or-Treat was one of my favorite nights of the year because you go to dress up and play make believe with thousands of other kids and people, then you got FREE CANDY! what little kid does not like free candy!?! I did.

Yes I know that Halloween comes to us from the pagans, druids, and Celts. But I never looked at it that way. I looked at it from the prospective of a child. I loved playing dress up (still do) and I loved walking around looking at all the different costumes and guessing who there were and were supposed to be, and getting free candy.

It's like I told my darling one day as we were out on a date, I told him it's not like my sisters and I said a prayer of thanks to the devil for our sweets!! No we wanted to play pretend. That's all.

I'm not a big fan of those out there who look down on my family for going out trick-or-treating. I think that's wrong. I don't look down on them for having a Christmas tree, (psst... which was brought to us by the pagans!)
They let their kids play dress up. How is that any different from dressing in a costume? Yes I do understand that some of the costumes and a tad bit questionable, like the mini skirts for the little girls and the gruesome masks for the boys. Those I tend to stay away from. Yes I was a witch for almost every Halloween of my youth, but I was a good witch. I did't try to scare the kids. If they jumped and ran when I jumped out of the bushes AFTER they got their candy, well then they were just jumpy! ;)

All I'm trying to say here is that I, me, myself, Love Halloween. This year I would like to maybe have a bon-fire and make it a costume party as well. I'm planning on being a Gypsy or maybe Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas and my darling can be Jack The Pumpkin King! or what ever. :)

I'm very open minded. I did a religion study, and learned about all the different religions of the world including some of Wicca, and Cults. Just so I can understand the world around me. Understand how to tell these people about why I love Jesus and God. That's all. I just like knowing and understanding, why.

  Well, I have some news!

Last week I bought my Wedding Dress!
About three days after that it came in the Mail!!!
I would love to post some pictures but I dont' know if my darling reads my blog or not. And I don't want him to see it just yet.
But it's perfect. White Strapless, tea length. With a Lilac ribbon on it. It's a 1950's vintage dress.
I'm very happy with it.
It does need to be taken in a bit but I know of some people/places that can do that. :)
Now I just need some shoes for the ceremony and I'll be all set!
For my jewelry I plan on wearing the purl necklace my darling got me when he was in China.
And some purl and diamond earrings.
Oh, I'm so excited for the wedding! Only Nine Months from today.
There is still some planning to do.
Guest list, Booking the Camp Ground, Food (what would we like to serve and where to get it.), D.J. Decorations!
It's going to be fun.

With many warm, thoughtful Prayers,
Caitydid.

So Many Ideas.....My Dream Come True....

Today I found some neat DIY wedding websites and saw some cute ideas for the brides maids dresses. They looked like old fashioned summer/sun dresses. Real plane and simple with a bit of lace to add a touch of elegance. I loved them. And the best thing about the idea is that I can find a pattern at any fabric store or website!!

http://www.modcloth.com/Womens/Dresses/-Orlando-Blooms-Dress

I also found a great idea for my dress in the Feb. March. issue of Mary Janes Farm Magazine. They were running a four part story of a Home Grown Wedding, and the couple would write and tell what they did to make their wedding home made. Well the bride to be sent in a picture of a White Peacock Tail Feather Veil and a picture of her homemade dress. Unfortunately I can not find any pictures so I will have to scan the picture when I find it again. But the dress was BEAUTIFUL! Just the style I've been looking for. She made it out of silk and the bottom was frayed to look like feathers. It was also a halter tie and tea length! Oh, I wish I could have a dress like that!
The couple is also growing their own food for the reception. So this spring and summer I'm going to have my own garden boxes with all kinds of vegetables that I will can. And I'm going to plant some flowers for the bouquets! Flowers such as,

Snap Dragons!

White Shasta Daisy

Lilacs

Queen Ann's Lace
(yes I know it's a weed but it's pretty!)

For Get Me Nots

There are so many more flowers too. I think I will ask each of my Bridesmaids what their favorite flower is and I'll plant it. So then they can cut and arrange their own bouquets on the wedding day! I'll also ask the Grooms Men if they have a flower preference too.
Also I'm going to hit all the thrift stores I can find to look for some things to help save money. I'll be on the look out for things like,
Tea Cups, Platers, Plates, Mason Jars, Vases, Silver Wear, and Vintage Fabric to make napkins and table clothes and what not!

OH!! Did I mention that I won!! Yes! I won a pair of shoes to wear on my wedding day!! I entered a contest on the Eco-Beautiful Wedding Blog and saw the contest. All I had to do was leave a comment on how I would wear the shoes on my wedding day and then they would pick the winner.
So I commented; "I plan on swing dancing at my wedding so I’ll kick off the heals and slip my toes in a pair of these and dance the night away. I’ll also wear them all the time after the wedding also. I never like to wear shoes but when I do I like slip on’s so these are just right for me!! :) Thanks for the chance to enter!! ~*Caitlynn."
And they picked me!! The shoes are very cute you can find shoes just like them at HydraHeart Esty Shop! I love that they are homemade and vegan. So that means no animal skin was used. And they would look so cute walking down the aisle!! :)

I do believe these are the shoes I will receive! (photo from Hydra Heart Etsy)

I can't wait to see them and try them on! I will have to refrain from wearing them before the wedding though!! I tend to get my shoes dirty.

But yeah! So many ideas, planning, and cute things for my wedding.

I can't wait to see everything fall into place and become my dream come true!

With Love, Prayers, Blessings and Warm Thoughts.
